Operations Improvement: Industrial Electronics Manufacturing

  • Challenge:  Client manufactures electronics components as sub-assemblies to industrial equipment.  Order quantities are increasing while lead times are decreasing.  Must become more efficient to conform to contracted service level agreements.
  • Analysis:  Map the entire process from order placement to order fulfillment and measure wait time and active time for each step.
  • Recommendation/Result: Work with management at a holistic enterprise level to mitigate/remove bottlenecks and streamline order fulfillment process.
